این نامه را در اعتراض به بازداشت دانشجویان ایرانی از روز 2 دسامبر و سرکوب فعالیتهای سیاسی آنها برای شما ارسال می کنیم. تجمع های "روز دانشجو" اخیرا توسط دانشجویان رادیکال چپ ایران در دانشگاه تهران برگزار گردید. سرکوب این فعالیتها از روزهای قبل از برگزاری این تجمعات با تهدید فعالین چپ توسط رژیم ایران، به عدم برگزاری مراسم روز دانشجو آغاز گردیده بود.
براساس گزارشهای ارسالی از طرف دانشجویان فعال ایرانی، شرکت کنندگان و سازمان دهندگان روز دانشجو در ایران توسط رژیم ایران مورد آزار و اذیت قرار گرفته، بازداشت شده و زندانی گردیده اند.
دانشجویان سوسیالیست همبستگی خود را با فعالین دانشجویی اعلام می کنند و فعالانه از حقوق آنها برای تجمع، تشکل و اعتراض حمایت کرده و سرکوب دانشجویان توسط رژیم ایران را بشدت محکوم می کنند. دانشجویان سوسیالیست سازمانی سوسیالیستی است که بیش از 50 گروه در دانشگاه ها و کالج ها در سرتاسر انگلیس و ولز دارد و از طریق شبکه مقاومت سوسیالیست های اینترناسیونال با گروههای دانشجویان، جوانان و کارگران در کشورهایی مانند پاکستان، آلمان، بلژیک، آمریکا، ایرلند و بسیاری از کشورهای دیگر مرتبط است. ما با رفقای خویش در این کشورها برای سازماندهی اعتراض بر علیه رژیم ایران تماس خواهیم گرفت.
سوسیالیستها، کارگران و جوانان در سرتاسر جهان انزجار خویش را از اقدامات وحشیانه و سرکوبگرایانه رژیم ایران اعلام می کنند و آماده هستند که برای حمایت از آنهایی که علیه این سرکوب مبارزه می کنند، اقدام نمایند.
ما خواستار آزادی فوری تمامی فعالینی که بازداشت شده اند هستیم و رژیم ایران را به توقف پیگرد فعالین سیاسی و رعایت حقوق دمکراتیک آنها برای اعتراض، تشکل، گردهمایی و تظاهرات، فرا می خوانیم.

To all concerned

We are writing to protest against the detention of Iranian student activists from December 2 and the repression of their political activities and. Demonstrations for “students day” were recently held in Iran by the Radical Leftist students of Iran at the University of Tehran. Repression of these activities began in the days leading up to the demonstration; many left activists were threatened by the government and were urged not to go ahead with this demonstration.
We have reports from Iranian student activists that students have been harassed, arrested and detained by the Iranian government for organising and protesting.
Socialist Students stands in solidarity with these student activists and actively supports their right to assemble, organize, and protest and utterly condemns the repression of the Iranian government. Socialist Students is a socialist organization with over 50 groups in universities and colleges across England and Wales we are linked through International Socialist Resistance to groups of students, youth and workers in countries such as Pakistan , Germany, Belgium , USA , Ireland and many more , we will be contacting our comrades in these countries to protest with us against these actions by the Iranian government.
Socialists, workers and youth across the world will be appalled and angered at brutal, repressive actions of the Iranian government and will be prepared to act in solidarity with those struggling against this repression.
We demand that the Iranian government immediately releases all activists who have been arrested and immediately ceases all harassment of political activists also that activists democratic rights to protest, organise, assemble and demonstrate are upheld.
